D'Xochi         accent chairs  with Mexican embroidery

Our
Story

Get to Know Us

D'Xochi was born out of the admiration I have for the embroidery work of the indigenous women of Oaxaca.

One day, someone special gifted me with an amazing tapestry that she crafted just for me, and that I used to re-upholster the chairs in the dining room.  I received, not only, compliments for the design and the beautiful embroidery, but I was encouraged to capitalize the idea of re-purposing furniture using all the embroidery material that she had given me, and that I had accumulated from my trips to Mexico. It has been a blessing to have this humble and skillful woman in my life.  Her name is Julia, and I will share her story in the next chapter, so . . . stay tuned.

My name is Emilia Espinosa

As the proud owner of D'Xochi, I am also the ambassador of the exquisite craftsmanship of Mexican textile and embroidery artisans.
